1 . Replacement of the Seal Coat and the Inorganic Aluminum Protective Coating.
A.Procedure RD 810-345-P2 or higher gives instructions to repair the coating of the mid fan shaft (shaft) by removing and applying the inorganic sealant coating (seal coat) and the aluminum protective coating (base coat).
B.The subsequent table gives a list of the part numbers that are applicable to this procedure. All part numbers are applicable to all paragraphs unless specified differently.

A.This repair or portions of this repair require a Technical License Agreement and Repair Source Substantiation prior to use. It is necessary that the repair source be approved by the FAA, obtain a Technical License Agreement from GE Aviation, and receive Repair Source Substantiation before performing this repair.
