WARNING:
CHROMIC SOLUTIONS ARE VERY ACTIVE AND CAUSE SERIOUS BURNS. AVOID CONTACT WITH SKIN, EYES, AND CLOTHING. IF CONTACT OCCURS, WASH IMMEDIATELY WITH AN ABUNDANT QUANTITY OF WATER. AVOID BREATHING THE VAPORS.
WARNING:
THE OPERATOR SHOULD WEAR A FACE SHIELD, GLOVES, PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, AND PROTECTIVE SHOES.
A.Fill the tank one-third full with water.
B.Add the abrasive grit product C04-112   while you stir the solution to mix them together.
C.Slowly add the optional anti-solidifying agent C04-109   while stirring.
D.Add the anti-rust agent C04-111   or the potassium dichromate C04-108   if required by the vapor blast equipment manufacturer. Carefully add the product while stirring the solution.
E.Slowly add the wetting agent C04-110  , if necessary.
F.Add more water as required to put the solution level at the necessary height in the tank.
G.Stir the solution again to mix.

H.Blasting Machine Mixture Check.
(1)Test of the concentration by sedimentation.
(a)Operate the machine for at least 15 minutes to make sure the abrasive material has mixed equally.
(b)Remove a 250 ml sample of the abrasive mixture as it leaves the gun with a graduated test tube.
(c)Let the abrasive material collect at the bottom of the test tube for 15 to 30 minutes.
(d)If the abrasive material does not collect at the bottom of the test tube in 30 minutes, and/or it is hard to see the separation line of the sedimentation and the liquid in 30 minutes, the solution is contaminated. Thus, replace the solution.
(e)The average concentration must be 10 to 40 percent by volume.
(f)Change the mixture as required if the concentration is not correct.
4 . Regeneration.
