This Service Bulletin introduces a new self-locking nut P/N J1411P06. |

GE recommends that you do this Service Bulletin when the old self-locking nut is removed from the high pressure compressor (HPC). |
The self-locking nuts do not need to be removed at the same time. The self-locking nuts should be replaced only when each HPC flange joint is disassembled. |

(1) | Removal and installation instructions of self-locking nuts (1 and 2, Figure 1) have not changed. |
(a) | For self-locking nuts (1) of the HPC forward flange, refer to GEnx-1B EM, 72-00-02, DISASSEMBLY 006 and ASSEMBLY 001. |
(b) | For self-locking nuts (2) of the HPC forward case aft flange, refer to GEnx-1B EM, 72-30-00 DISASSEMBLY 002 and ASSEMBLY 001. |
