| This Service Bulletin introduces redesigned TCF service tubes and piston ring seals. |

| E. | Reason |
| (1) | Objective: |
| To improve reliability, improve maintainability, and reduce cost of ownership. |
| (2) | Condition: |
| The current piston ring design has experienced tube wear, resulting in piston ring liberation from the TCF adapter caps, and in subsequent leakage from the adapter caps into the under cowl compartment. |
| (3) | Cause: |
| The piston ring does not fully engage with the walls of the piston ring groove. |
| (4) | Improvement: |
| The redesigned piston rings have improved engagement with the mating hardware. The redesigned TCF supply, scavenge tubes, main drain tube, and auxiliary drain tube will accommodate new piston ring seal and improve tube damping characteristics. |
