| (1) | Objective: |
| To introduce new parts. |
| (2) | Condition: |
| When non synchronous vibration (NSV) occurs, blade tip clearances are affected, resulting in a potential effect on booster performance. |
| (3) | Cause: |
| NSV is caused by contact between the seal teeth and the stator, resulting in stator shape changes during operation. Analysis of the booster performance indicated that the clearances had not been optimized. |
| (4) | Improvement: |
| This change reduces the aft stage 4 seal tooth radial length and the stage 5 discourager tooth radial length. The blade tip adjustments also help to improve booster efficiency by +0.15 points and specific fuel consumption (SFC) by 0.025 percent. |

| - Stage 2 blades P/Ns 2333M42P05-P08 are interchangeable as a set with stage 2 blades P/Ns 2333M42P01-P04. |
| - Stage 3 blades P/Ns 2333M43P09-P12 are interchangeable as a set with stage 3 blades P/Ns 2333M43P01-P04. |
| - Stage 3 blades P/Ns 2333M43P01-P04 can only be used with FHS assembly vane 3 P/N B1316-02155 as a set. |
