This Service Bulletin is applicable to all GEnx-1B engines.
B.Description
 This Service Bulletin introduces the turbine frames P/N 2304M99G09 and P/N 2304M99G16.
C.Compliance
Category 7
GE recommends that you do this Service Bulletin at customer's option.
NOTE:
This Service Bulletin can be accomplished in shop.
D.Concurrent Requirements
None.
E.Reason
(1)Objective:
To introduce new parts.
(2)Condition:
The turbine frame of the current TCF modules available in the EIPC are P/N 2304M99G10, P/N 2304M99G14, and P/N 2304M99G17.
(3)Cause:
 This Service Bulletin introduces new turbine frame P/N 2304M99G09 and P/N 2304M99G16 to the EIPC, which have been certified for the GEnx-1B engine.
(4)Improvement:
 This Service Bulletin allows the turbine frame P/N 2304M99G09 and P/N 2304M99G16 to be used on production engines.
(5)Substantiation:
Substantiation is by comparative analysis.

This Service Bulletin has been reviewed by the FAA and the repair(s) and modification(s) herein comply with the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and are FAA APPROVED for installation in the model(s) listed in this Service Bulletin.

K.Interchangeability
 The turbine frame P/N 2304M99G09 is two-way interchangeable as a set with the turbine frame P/N 2304M99G10. The components of the turbine frame must be introduced as a complete turbine frame set and cannot be interchanged between assemblies. The turbine frame P/N 2304M99G09 will not be provisioned.
 The turbine frame P/N 2304M99G16 is two-way interchangeable as a set with the turbine frame P/N 2304M99G14. The components of the turbine frame must be introduced as a complete turbine frame set and cannot be interchanged between assemblies. The turbine frame P/N 2304M99G16 will not be provisioned.
