This Service Bulletin is applicable to these GEnx-1B engines:

GEnx-1B engines, serial numbers 956-102 thru 956-110.
These serial numbers are the best available data.
B.Description
This Service Bulletin releases an alternative HPC rotor assembly P/N 2305M51G05 for HPC modules P/N 2305M53G06/G09.

D.Concurrent Requirements
None.
E.Reason
(1)Objective:
To introduce new parts.
(2)Condition:
HPC rotor module P/N 2305M51G05 is a certified alternative to the P/N 2305M51G06 and is used in compliance engines.
(3)Cause:
All required HPC rotor modules are not in the EIPC. The P/N 2305M51G05 needs to be added to the EIPC as an alternative to P/N 2305M51G06 for HPC modules P/N 2305M53G06/G09.
(4)Improvement:
The addition of the alternative HPC rotor assembly will make the EIPC consistent with hardware delivered to customers.
(5)Substantiation:
Substantiation is by comparative analysis.

This Service Bulletin contains no modification information that revises the approved configuration and therefore does not require FAA approval.
G.Manpower
No additional man-hours are required to comply with this Service Bulletin.
