This Service Bulletin releases a new drain manifold P/N 2498M67G01, drain manifold P/N 2498M66G01, and CCC valve drain tube P/N 2498M68G01. |

3. | ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS |
A. | Removal |
(1) | Removal instructions for the core compartment cooling (CCC) valve drain tube have not changed. Refer to the GEnx-1B EM, 72-00-02, DISASSEMBLY 002, Subtask 72-00-02-030-408. |
(2) | Removal instructions for the drain manifold have not changed. Refer to the GEnx-1B EM, 72-00-02, DISASSEMBLY 002, Subtask 72-00-02-030-407. |
(3) | Removal instructions for the drain manifold have not changed. Refer to the GEnx-1B EM, 72-00-02, DISASSEMBLY 002, Subtask 72-00-02-030-407. |
B. | Installation |
(1) | Install the CCC valve drain tube (1, Figure 1) as follows: |
(a) | Connect the B-nut of the CCC valve drain tube (1) to the fuel drain tube (01-030, 73-11-43). |
(b) | Connect the B-nut of the CCC valve drain tube (1) to the CCC valve (01-010, 75-24-20). |
(c) | Torque the B-nuts to 262-308 lb in. (29.6-34.8 N.m). |
(2) | Install the drain manifold (2, Figure 2) as follows: |
(a) | Connect the two B-nuts to the upper drain manifold (01-380, 72-00-05). |
(b) | Connect the remaining B-nut to the nipple on the hydraulic pump bearing support (01-070, 72-64-00). |
(c) | Attach the drain manifold (2) to bracket (01-450, 72-00-05) with cushioned clamps (15-080, 73-11-43) and bolts (15-070). |
(d) | Attach the drain manifold (2) to bracket (01-400, 72-00-05) with cushioned clamp (15-080, 73-11-43) and bolt (15-070). |
(e) | Attach the drain manifold (2) to bracket (01-120, 72-00-05) with cushioned clamp (15-080, 73-11-43) and bolt (15-090). |
(f) | Torque the B-nuts to 262-308 lb in. (29.6-34.8 N.m). |
(g) | Torque the bolts (15-070) to 32-38 lb in. (3.6-4.3 N.m). |
(h) | Torque the bolts (15-090) to 32-38 lb in. (3.6-4.3 N.m). |
(3) | Install the drain manifold (3, Figure 3) as follows: |
(a) | Connect the B-nut to the drain tube (05-020). |
(b) | Connect the B-nut to the transient bleed valve (01-010, 75-31-11). |
(c) | Attach the drain manifold (3) to bracket (30-040, 73-11-40) with cushioned clamp (05-050, 73-11-43) and bolt (05-040). |
(d) | Attach the drain manifold (3) to bracket (20-030, 73-11-40) with cushioned clamp (05-050, 73-11-43) and bolt (05-040). |
(e) | Attach the drain manifold (3) to bracket (01-050, 73-21-10) with cushioned clamp (05-050, 73-11-43) and bolt (05-040). |
(f) | Triple torque the B-nuts to 262-308 lb in. (29.6-34.8 N.m). |
(g) | Torque the bolts (05-040) to 32-38 lb in. (3.6-4.3 N.m). |
