The electronic engine control (EEC), also referred to as electronic control unit (ECU), kit P/N 738L357G12 installed on the GEnx-1BP2 engines or stocked as spares are affected by this Service Bulletin. |

3. | ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS |
A. | General |
(1) | EEC on-board flight deck reprogramming procedures: |
(a) | For on board data load function, refer to the GEnx-1B Boeing 787 AMM, 73-21-05-00B-750. |
(b) | The on board software LSAP is obtained through the Boeing software library. The Boeing part number for the LSAP is GEC42-2124-2316. |
(2) | EEC shop reprogramming and verification procedure: |
(a) | Prepare a 615 working copy disk of the software. Refer to the embedded on software load disk. |
(b) | Reprogram the EEC with the PDL reprogramming disk working copy. Refer to the GEnx-1B EM, 72-00-00, SPECIAL PROCEDURE 001 and paragraph 4., APPENDIX A - EEC/GSE SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION. |
