The electrical clip inserts (clip inserts) P/N 1793M46P02, P/N 1793M46P03, P/N 1793M46P04, P/N 1793M46P05, P/N 1793M46P06, and P/N 1793M46P07 are affected by this Service Bulletin. |

This Service Bulletin eliminates 40 plastic clip inserts from selected harness support spring clip locations. |

(1) | Objective: |
To remove parts from service. |
(2) | Condition: |
Plastic clip inserts were introduced as a response to customer concerns on poor routing experience for legacy sustaining programs. |
(3) | Cause: |
Successful field harness experience across engine programs has demonstrated that harness peek overbraid at the spring clips performs its chafe guard purpose adequately when the spring clips are correctly sized and the latest harness design process has been followed. |
(4) | Improvement: |
Clip inserts removal leads to assembly process simplification through reduced parts count, improves field shop operations, eliminates potential foreign object damage concerns, and resolves special considerations to abate clip inserts damage and their proliferation by error-proofing maintenance activity. |
(5) | Substantiation: |
Substantiation is by analysis and comparative analysis. |
