This Service Bulletin releases a new EEC software (version B205) P/N 2124M23P25 and provides reprogramming instructions. |

GE recommends that you do this Service Bulletin as soon as possible without effect on revenue service but before 120 days from the issue date of this Service Bulletin. |

All CD-ROM load disks have embedded instructions allowing operators to make the data loading and configuration system (DLCS) reprogramming disks, portable data loader (PDL) disks, and retrieve only working copies as needed. |
3. | ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS |
A. | General |
(1) | EEC onboard flight deck reprogramming procedure: |
(a) | Start the onboard loadable software (LSAP). Refer to the GEnx-1B Boeing 787 AMM, TASK DMC-B787-A-45-13-00-02A-110B-A, START THE ONBOARD DATA LOAD FUNCTION - SOFTWARE OPERATION. |
(b) | Install the software in the EEC. Refer to the GEnx-1B Boeing 787 AMM, TASK DMC-B787-A-G73-21-05-00B-750A-A, ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROL (WITH ONBOARD DATA LOAD FUNCTION) - SOFTWARE INSTALLATION. |
(c) | Start the central maintenance computer (CMC). Refer to the GEnx-1B Boeing 787 AMM, TASK DMC-B787-A-45-11-00-00A-110B-A, CENTRAL MAINTENANCE COMPUTING FUNCTION - SOFTWARE OPERATION. |
(d) | Examine the software configuration. Refer to the GEnx-1B Boeing 787 AMM, TASK DMC-B787-A-45-11-00-02A-300D-A, AIRPLANE COMPONENT WITH LOADABLE SOFTWARE - SOFTWARE CHECK. |
