| (1) | Objective: |
| To introduce new parts and improve reliability. |
| (2) | Condition: |
| The old piston seal rings experience wear and can be dislodged, causing air leakage out of the turbine center frame (TCF). |
| (3) | Cause: |
| The dimensions of the oil tubes, piston seal rings, and the cavity in which piston seal rings are sitting lead to loads applied to the seal and extended wear during engine operation. |
| (4) | Improvement: |
| The new oil tubes and piston seal rings have different shape and a dedicated load stop feature that has been added to make sure that the piston seal ring does not get loads related to the tube movement. |
| (5) | Substantiation: |
| Substantiation is by comparative analysis and analysis. |

| It is permitted to install one set (for example, oil supply tube with adjacent piston seal rings and outer retainers) and leave the other sets unchanged. However, since this is a product improvement for issues with oil tubes and piston seal rings, it is strongly recommended to replace all parts (all sets) at the same time, during one shop visit. |
