B. | Description |
This Service Bulletin releases the GEnx-1B/P2 new hardware names and part numbers (P/N) information to the Engine Illustrated Parts Catalog (EIPC). This Service Bulletin also provides instructions to convert the turbine center frame (TCF) module assembly from a GEnx-1BXX/G03, GEnx-1BXX/G04, or GEnx-1BXX/P1/G01 to the GEnx-1BXX/P2G01 configuration. |

This Service Bulletin introduces the GEnx-1B/P2 configuration, which improves the fuel efficiency of the GEnx-1B engine. Depending on engine operating characteristics and configuration, this Service Bulletin can improve the Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC) of the GEnx-1B and GEnx-1B/P1 engines. |

(1) | The TCF assemblies P/N 1GN38001G01 (NON-RAKE) and P/N 1GN38003G01 (RAKE) are two-way interchangeable as a set on the GEnx-1B/P2 engine. Both modules can be used on either RAKE or NON-RAKE GEnx-1B/P2 engines. |
(2) | The TCF assemblies P/N 2305M58G05, P/N 2305M58G06, and P/N 2305M58G07 are one-way interchangeable as a set with the TCF assembly P/N 2305M58G08 or P/N 1GN38001G01 or P/N 1GN38003G01. |
