This Service Bulletin provides a new TCF P/N 1GN38001G01 designed and manufactured by MTU to GEnx-1B engines. |

(1) | Objective: |
To introduce a new part and improve reliability. |
(2) | Condition: |
The current TCF assembly P/N 2330M58G06 is designed and manufactured by GE. |
(3) | Cause: |
The new TCF assembly P/N 1GN38001G01 is designed and manufactured by MTU. This Service Bulletin will complete the introduction of MTU as a revenue sharing partner. |
(4) | Improvement: |
The new TCF assembly P/N 1GN38001G01 introduces a new material for flowpath fairings and panels, along with more durable forward and rear hangers, bolts, nuts, and spline seals. Due to the update of the engine manual, section 72-54-00 will be consistent with both GE and MTU designed TCF modules. |
