| (1) | Objective: |
| To introduce new parts. |
| (2) | Condition: |
| Moisture in the PS3 system can freeze and lead to operational events. |
| (3) | Cause: |
| The moisture in the PS3 system is pushed into the EEC/PS3 interface. It freezes there at the cold temperatures seen during cruise, which blocks the PS3 pressure from being read by the EEC. |
| (4) | Improvement: |
| The new EECs VIN 115E9084G1 (P/N 2447M85P03) and VIN 115E9084G2 (P/N 2447M85P04) provide a PS3 heating system, which will prevent the moisture at the PS3 transducer interface. |
| (5) | Substantiation: |
| Substantiation is by comparative analysis, analysis, and test. |
