1 . Replacement of the Self-Locking Nut Gang Channel Assembly.
  A.This procedure gives instructions to repair the high pressure compressor (HPC) stator extension case (case) by replacing the self-locking nut gang channel assembly (nut assembly).
  B.The following maximum repairable limits apply to this repair:

The information below gives maximum repairable limits for the applicable Inspection sections. The paragraphs are numbered the same as the manual Inspection sections.

  Subtask 72-30-01-800-001
  A.Remove the unserviceable nut assembly. Refer to TASK 70-10-00-800-009 (ASSEMBLY AND DISASSEMBLY TECHNIQUES), Figure 901, and as follows:
  (1)Remove the screws and nut assembly from the forward inner wishbone flange of the case.

  B.Clean the forward inner wishbone flange of the case. Refer to TASK 72-30-01-100-801 (72-30-01, CLEANING 001).

  C.Do an inspection of the forward inner wishbone flange of the case. Refer to TASK 72-30-01-200-801 (72-30-01, INSPECTION 001).
  Subtask 72-30-01-350-039
  D.Install the new nut assembly (2327M73G02   ) and screws (J951P07A   ) to the forward inner wishbone flange of the case. Refer to Figure 901 and as follows:
  WARNING:
REFER TO THE PRODUCT LABEL AND THE MANUFACTURER’S (MATERIAL) SAFETY DATA SHEET (SDS) FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON THE HAZARDS, STORAGE, SAFE HANDLING AND PROPER USE OF THIS PRODUCT.
  (1)Apply C02-058  lubricant to the threads of the screws as follows:
  (a)Use C10-108  brush to apply the lubricant.
  (b)Use a clean, C10-182  lint-free cloth to remove unwanted lubricant.
  (2)Torque the screws to 35 lb-in (3.95 Nm). Refer to TASK 70-51-00-400-004 (TIGHTENING PRACTICES AND TORQUE VALUES).

  E.Do a visual inspection of the installed nut assembly. Refer to TASK 72-30-01-200-801 (72-30-01, INSPECTION 001).
