A.Do a Class A fluorescent penetrant inspection of the link. Refer to TASK 70-32-02-230-001 (FLUORESCENT PENETRANT INSPECTION).

4 . Visual Inspection.

Restore the part number marking with the intermediate dot peen method. Refer to TASK 70-16-08-350-001 (DOT PEEN MARKING FOR OPTICAL CHARACTER RECOGNITION) . If dot peen is not available then restore the part markings with vibro-peen marking. Refer to TASK 70-16-04-350-019 (VIBRO-PEEN MARKING) . Mark the PN and SN next to the original marking. Markings from 0.001-0.006 inch (0.03-0.15 mm) in depth are acceptable.
